A catch-all email mailbox is one that captures all the email messages sent to inactive addresses. For instance, if your email address is info@domain.com, but somebody miswrites it and sends a message to inof@domain.com, it will still be received in the catch-all mailbox that you have created. Only one single mailbox per domain can have this feature enabled and thus you’ll never miss emails because the other party has an outdated email address or has made a spelling mistake. The disadvantage of configuring a catch-all mailbox is that you may begin receiving plenty of junk email messages, but this problem can be solved using anti-spam protection software. It’s also crucial to know that a mailbox with an activated catch-all functionality cannot redirect inbound emails to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all mailbox without effort in case you have a hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our in-house built Hepsia hosting Control Panel is feature-rich, yet very user-friendly, and it will allow you to activate different features, including the catch-all one, with only several clicks. All the mailboxes that you have set up will be enumerated in alphabetical order in this section and on the right-hand side of each one of them you’ll notice a small "Catch-all" symbol. Clicking it once will enable this option, clicking on it again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already got a different one with this feature activated or if you have activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox easily even if you don’t have much email/web hosting experience. All it takes to do that is to click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you have set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. As you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will let you know if you’ve already created a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you would like to use has email forwarding activated. If you reach the decision that you do not need this feature anymore, you can remove it by clicking once again on the very same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
